Made in Alameda was FRAME1A's inaugural exhibition, featuring photographers selected from Alameda on Camera, an annual juried event in which local photographers spend 48 hours documenting Alameda, its neighborhoods, hidden corners, and the people who give the city its character.
For our first exhibition, we invited these artists into the gallery to share their unique perspectives on Alameda through the lens. The exhibition celebrated place, community, and the many ways photographers can experience the same city and come away with entirely different stories.
Featuring eleven photographers, Made in Alameda marked the beginning of FRAME1A's commitment to showcasing photography and visual storytelling within the community.
